Maintenance/Millwright Technician

Our Kitchener client is seeking a licensed Maintenance Technician possessing strong technical and mechanical skills to join their team! This is a great opportunity for those who have just recently finished their apprenticeship and are looking to establish themselves in the field of industrial maintenance. Core hours will be 8:00AM-5:00PM, with the potential need to rotate between days and afternoons! Salary will be $60,000-$63,000 depending on experience plus significant annual incentives! The maintenance technician will be responsible for insuring the operation and maintenance of production equipment as well as troubleshooting and detection irregularities and malfunctions. 

 Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Licensed Millwright would be considered an asset
  • Minimum three to five years related experience
  • Full understanding and concrete knowledge of related operating systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
  • Familiarity with liquid and vacuum pumps, electrical systems including electronic controls, grinding systems, hydraulic systems, injection molding equipment and resin transport and drier systems
  • Ability and experience reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems is required
  • Good mathematical aptitude
  • Good manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 50lbs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of production plants machines and equipment.
  • Perform duties such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose/troubleshoot, repair, test and perform required adjustments
  • Ability to work with maintenance contractors and other team members, such as machine operators, production managers
  • Record keeping and creation of reports.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment
