Position: Interim Director of Finance – 6 months
Type: Hybrid – 2 days

The Company and The Role
Our client is an established non-profit organization with a long history of serving the community through youth development and community engagement. An interim Director of Finance is required on a 6-month contract to support the team through their year-end audit and preparation of financial statements. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will oversee all aspects of accounting and finance functions to enable timely delivery of monthly financial reporting packages.
- Day-to-day support for the team of 8 direct reports and leading with a people-centered approach
- Demonstrate an understanding of grant accounting, government funding, and deferred revenue
- Lead the audit preparation with the team and liaise with the auditors
- Oversee day-to-day AP and GL processes including reviewing payments and bank reconciliations for month-end reporting.

- Skilled in managing AP and GL processes as well as month-end financial reviews.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of reporting requirements for a non-profit organization
- Experience in driving improvements in financial management within a complex and cross-functional environment
- CPA designation
- Strong leadership skills to help mentor and train staff.
