Dean Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected manufacturing client located in Guelph, Ontario. This opportunity is based within a specialized production division that operates within the automotive industry. Our client is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Maintenance Millwright (433A) to join their growing maintenance team.
Position Overview
The Level 3 Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of industrial machinery and equipment. This includes performing preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, completing repairs, and supporting production by minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (e.g., conveyor systems, pumps, motors, automation equipment).
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various machinery and equipment according to a scheduled plan.
- Repair or replace defective components such as bearings, belts, gears, motors, etc.
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Conduct machine setup, alignments, and precision adjustments for optimal performance.
- Rebuild mechanical components and complete work orders using the internal maintenance tracking system.
Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification – 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright (mandatory).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Flexibility to work all three rotating shifts:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage: $32 per hour.
- Monthly performance bonus (3% of gross earnings; company performance dependent).

Machinery and Tools
