Responsibilities may include:

  • General office support including receiving and responding to requests and inquiries, screening and directing telephone calls, shipping and receiving, distributing mail and courier packages, photocopying, maintaining office supplies
  • Filing of personnel documents and maintaining information in a Records Management Database
  • Process financial transactions, perform various related cash control and reconciliation functions
  • Prepare, edit and format a variety of documents while ensuring that the Corporation’s accessibility standards are met
  • Process invoices and create purchase requisitions
  • Arrange meetings, facility bookings and registrations, meeting minute preparation, calendar management
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience within an Administrative Assistant position
  • Office Administration certification from an accredited college preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Very strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks (an asset)
  • Foundation in financial literacy and basic accounting (invoicing, purchase orders, credit memos)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong email management skills and etiquette
  • Phone etiquette and phone call triage skills.
  • Preliminary understanding of shipping/receiving protocols


Job Types: Temporary / Contract Work
Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Secondary School
  • Office/Business Administrative Certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • receptionist: 1 year experience (preferred)
  • administrative assistant: 2-year experience (minimum)
